Can't believe it's already 2008. Not that 2007 was a particularly good year. I STILL haven't finished my PhD, thought I'm closer now than before (but that's what I said this time last yr also before the whole new abject thing came into play...). STILL at the same job after not getting offered not 1 but 2 positions I was interviewed for. STILL living at home because I don't have a job that would allow me to get a mortgage (though that might not be a bad thing seeing the interest rates are still going up constantly). Hopefully a new year would bring in fresh ideas and new wind for a change of scene.
Meanwhile, Tassie trip is now officially off after having been postponed twice already. Which is just as well, I guess, now that I'm on a bit of a streak with editing & all. Only need to cut down conclusion & Ch6 is done, well, for this time round at least! The hard task of combining 7 & 8 is still to come though... Sigh... At least I've got Russia/Finland to look forward to in Oct. Must ask again about the new Moscow-Sydney flight via HK that Transaero announced a couple of wks ago. That would mean fewer transfers (Star Alliance would be Singapore/Bangkok then Frankfurt or KLM would be Kuala Lumpur then Amsterdam) & shorter hours. If only they'd bloody answer me @_@
