Chuckies

I had my usual Wednesday morning tuts @ UTS yesterday & unlike my nomral habit of having lunch then hiding in the library to try & do some PHD work I decided I simply couldn't be bothered to drag the laptop with me. Instead I would catach an earlier train home & hitch a ride with mum from Parra. On the way to work in hte morning though we drove past one of the branches of Paul's Warehouse & mum heard from a friend that it is closing down for good so I decided to make a quick stop on the way home. Was originally going in to look for shoes that I could use while travelling in the great north later this year because I nearly frozen my toes off the last time I was in anywhere that cold. Alas, they only had some uggo hiking boots that I couldn't care less about. What I did find though are Converse Chuck Taylors in my size!! They've advertised on numerous occasions Chuck Taylors on the cheap & though I usually found styles that I like there were never any in my size. So it was kinda a huge surprise that I found styles that I like AND in my size this time round. Naturally I stocked up, especially when I found the red-plaid one that I've been eyeing since my Taipei trip 16 months ago. An because they're on the cheap, I got a second pair also (olive/orange plaid). Ah, Chuckies... It's not like I didn't get time to do my work at home either. I managed to finish off the section that I was working on the night before (until 2am!!) to keep myself on track for finishing the chapter by end of week (only 1 more section to go) before having a yum cha/Opera bar saturday for Dan's bday. Such is a posh life.
